ABOUT
In a busy and sometimes lonely city, East Prahran SDA church is a spiritual home: a place of grace, acceptance, and hope. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is valued. Everyone is invited to journey together in faith.
The faithful men and women of this church built a permanent place of worship on 8, Wynnstay Road, Prahran. Official records show that the church building was completed and dedicated on 2 February 1936. From its opening, East Prahran became known as a friendly and welcoming congregation, drawing people from across Melbourne. During the challenging years of World War II, members supported those serving overseas and maintained active community life. Through the years the church has fostered a community where people of different cultures and ways of life can gather on the Sabbath.
Today the East Prahran Seventh-day Adventist Church is more than a building; it is a warm and welcoming community where people are known by name and greeted with genuine smiles. From the moment you walk through the doors, you sense that this is a place where you belong.
This year 2026 we are celebrating 90th anniversary of the church!
We begin at 9:45 am with Bible Study: a time for thoughtful discussion, questions, and learning together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
At 11:00 am, we gather for the Main Service: a meaningful time of worship, prayer, and a message from God’s Word.
